Aluminum Strip For Deep Stamping
Aluminum strip for deep stamping is a strip material made by rolling, slitting and other processing technologies of aluminum alloy. It has good deep stamping performance and can withstand large deformation without breaking during the stamping process. It is suitable for manufacturing various parts that require deep drawing.
Specification of aluminum strip for deep stamping:
- Alloy type: Commonly used aluminum strip alloys for deep stamping include 1xxx series, 3xxx series, 5xxxx series, 8xxx series, etc. For example, 1060 belongs to 1000 series pure aluminum, which has the advantages of high elongation, excellent tensile strength and conductivity, high formability, etc., and can meet conventional processing requirements. 3xxx series aluminum alloys generally add manganese elements to aluminum, and have good corrosion resistance and processing performance. 5000 series aluminum alloys usually have better strength and ductility, suitable for deep drawing. 8xxx series aluminum alloys usually also have good formability and certain strength.
- State: Common states include O state (annealed full soft state), H18 state (no annealing, highest hardness), H14/H24 state (partial annealing, balance strength and formability), etc. Among them, O state aluminum strip has a large elongation and is suitable for deep drawing and stretching products; H18 state has high hardness and is suitable for some stamping parts with high hardness requirements; H14/H24 state achieves a good balance between strength and formability.
- Specifications: The thickness is generally around 0.15mm - 3mm, and the slitting width is 10mm and above. The specific specifications can be customized according to customer needs. In addition, the length of the aluminum strip can also be slit and coiled according to actual usage.
Taking the common 1060 hot rolled aluminum strip as an example, the aluminum content of 1060 aluminum strip reaches 99.6%, which is also called pure aluminum strip. It has high plasticity, corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity, good elongation and tensile strength, can meet the requirements of conventional stamping and stretching, and has high formability. At the same time, the aluminum alloy itself has a high elastic modulus and good plastic deformation ability, and can achieve uniform deformation during deep drawing. However, aluminum alloy is prone to work hardening during deep drawing and rolling, that is, with the increase of strain, the hardness and strength of the material increase accordingly, which limits its deep drawing depth and deformation degree to a certain extent, and needs to be controlled by appropriate heat treatment or alloy element adjustment to control the hardening rate.
